About

Piotr is an international disputes lawyer, dual-qualified in civil law and common law (an advocate admitted to the Warsaw bar and a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales), who advises on the avoidance and resolution of disputes in Poland and internationally. His practice covers arbitration and litigation in commercial matters, including international trade and M&A transactions.

Represents clients as counsel in domestic and international arbitration proceedings, as well as in court proceedings. Has experience in disputes conducted, among others, under the ICC, VIAC, SAC, ICSID, LMAA and SA KIG (Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce) rules of procedure, in the context of various applicable laws and involving various arbitration seats. Acts as a secretary to the tribunal or arbitrator’s assistant in arbitration proceedings. Accepts appointments as an arbitrator.

Advises on all stages of disputes, including pre-arbitration and post-award phases concerning the recognition, enforcement and challenge of arbitral awards.

Shares his knowledge and experience by speaking at conferences, conducting workshops, providing advice in mentoring programs and participating in international arbitration, mediation and negotiation competitions as an arbitrator and competition judge. He is a certified mediator. Acts as an ICC YAAF Representative for Europe and Central Asia as well as a Board Member of the Arbitration Association of Central and Eastern Europe (ArbCEE).

Speaks Polish, English, German and Spanish. Learns Italian.
